Hi friends, Greg Bugbee here, thanks for stopping by my page!
Who is this guy???? I am the IT guy for WINY.
I am a native of Northeastern Connecticut born and raised in East Killingly where I continue to live with my wife and kitties. My first experience with radio was as a young child when I would listen to legends such as Bob Steele, Salty Brine, and Gary "O". Well, maybe the last one doesn't fall into the legend category yet. At thirteen years old I became involved in the entertainment industry when I started my disc jockey business, a business that I continue to operate today. Feel free to contact me if you need musical entertainment for your next party, event or wedding. (Gary, don't charge me for that plug). At sixteen, I began working at WINY and nearly twelve years later I am still thrilled to be part of such a great institution. I have worked with some great people over the years and feel that I have learned much from folks like Joe Gionti who gave me a passion for the oldies and taught me how to play records; Dick Allarie, who I listened to growing up and many other talented individuals who have been through the doors of WINY.
In my spare time (What's that?), I enjoy ocean kayaking, gardening, bird watching, traveling and serving as a volunteer for community events such as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
I also love music, any type of music. I think my love for music allows me to do any type of show that I am asked to do. I just find it fun and interesting to learn about different genres.
I am very pleased to be part of such a wonderful radio station. I have been in other markets and what WINY does is very special. WINY is one of the few stations left that truly serves the community in everything we do. Don't forget, in the words of Bob Barker, "Help control the pet population, have your pets spayed and neutered!"
