Daily Bread Food Pantry will be open from12:00-1:30 p.m. 

The Pomfret Food Pantry located in the Pomfret Senior Center will be open from 5:30-6:30 pm. 

Gamblers Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. at TEEG in North Grosvenordale. 

Bingo will be held at the Garden City Baptist Church in Ballouville. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the first game begins at 6:30 p.m 

The Northeast Connecticut Farmers Market will be held at the Putnam Farmer’s Market Pavilion on Kennedy Drive in Putnam from 3:30-6 p.m.

A Speech Fluency Support Group will meet at the Speech and Hearing Center at UConn from 6:30-8 p.m.

A Free Parent/Child Playgroup sponsored by TEEG will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Early Childhood Center at the Mary Fischer Elementary School in Thompson

The 2014 5K Fun Runs will be held at the West Thompson Dam beginning at 6:15 p.m.

The Brooklyn Historical Society Museum and the Daniel Putnam Tyler Law Office b will be open from 1-5 p.m. Admission is free to either museum. For more information call 860-774-7728.

The Northeast Connecticut Farmers Market will be held at the Ocean State Job Lot parking lot in Brooklyn from 4-6 p.m. 

Day Kimball Healthcare and Day Kimball Homemakers present a Senior Dance from 6-9 p.m. at the Putnam Elks Lodge. Admission is free and all area seniors are welcome to attend.

A Come As You R Worship Service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, route 6 in Brooklyn at 5 p.m. A contemporary worship service will be held followed by a free cookout.

Lapsley Orchards and United Services present Sunflowers for Kids from 10a-3p at Lapsley Orchards on Route 169. Come on down for pick your own bousquets, face painting, balloon animals and more. All proceeds benefit the United Services Center for Autism.
